Next Taunton Concert - Showgrounds for Soloists - Sunday 4th December. A range of music including Taunton Young Musician Adam Heron playing a keyboard concerto by Bach, Nicola New (French Horn) playing Glazunov and a new work by Sarah Wormell and Mary Eade dazzling us with Sarasate's Zigeunerweisen
The Sinfonietta employs a range of soloists, aiming to encourage younger performers as often as possible. To this end, the winner of the Taunton Young Musician competition performs with the orchestra as part of their prize. The orchestra is also happy to premier works by local composers. Programmes are varied and include pieces from the baroque, classical, romantic and more modern periods. The Sinfonietta is supported by Patrons and Friends. We are also on Facebook and Twitter.
